Don’t hide behind your metaphors

Your allegoric tongue

Tell it to me straight I ask

Own up to what you’ve done

Speak the words that should be said

Don’t hide them in plain sight

Come right out and say it all

Your feelings and your plights

Forget what other people think

I’ll keep all to myself

Your words will stay only with me

Explain now why you dwell

Why is it you can’t let go?

Why can’t you speak the truth?

Just say what comes into your head

Or did I mean nothing to you?
