I've heard that you will never know the love of a parent
Until you become one yourself
That for your kids you will want the 3 H's:
Happiness, heaven, and good health
I dont know what the future for you holds
I am waiting to see what unfolds

If you are blessed with riches
I pray that you help ones in need
If you are blessed with a gentle heart
I pray that your words are planted like seeds
If you are blessed with intelligence
I pray that you help others understand by taking the lead

But most of all if you are dealt a difficult hand of cards
I pray that God works through you and moves someone's heart to see passed their own yard

Watching you grow will be one of the greatest treasures
Hold on to your faith in any weather
Look to Him to guide your ways
Going through life's adventures day by day
And whenever we are apart
Know that you are still in my heart

    Should that be 'past' not 'passed' ??

      You would use past when speaking about the past, present or future.

      Passed is like...I passed a car. I passed up going to the concert this weekend.
