Here I Go Again

daydreaming

Here I am...
Here I go again
I’ve got to prove it to myself
I won’t fall in love again.

Let them know...
It was you who said
That you could never love
Or care for someone else.

Now I know...
It was just a game
I now can overcome
Just about anything.

You should learn...
That you can’t take away
The things that you have said
‘Cause I just won’t forget them.

You may think...
That I am not sincere
You better think again
'Cause I don't want you here.

I forget...
No matter how it hurts
I now know what to do
And soon I will forget you.

I believe...
In myself again
I’ll never have to say
I need you for anything.

The world should know...
The things that I have learned
I now control my life
And that’s what matters anyway.
