Limbo

Rose.a.lee

When I was younger,

having 7 years of wisdom

worn proudly on my chest,

I went to a birthday party

for a neighbor girl,

who was 3 or 4.

And we played limbo.

The whole party,

and I was the best at it,

and eventually I was told to not participate,

because it wasn't fair.

Which it wasn't,

but I was also not old enough

to be one of the big kids

So there I was,

playing at my own private game of limbo,

That I still haven't won.
