Distant Memories

Looking back to the time

Time when we were together

Sharing life and caring for each other

Though we were far away

But we still decide to stay

Bearing the burden of missing somebody

Somebody who supposed to be by your side

Trying to be selfless

But selfishness grows consuming both of us

Heart start to harden

Thinking that nothing is gonna work out

Cloud of sadness fills up our mind

False assumptions start creeping in our head

Destroying what’s been built up for years

Everything is crumbling to pieces

Pieces of broken heart and disappointment

Even though everything crashes and burns

The wheel of life needs to keep spinning

Someday they attempt to put back the pieces

But different goals separate their journey

Memories start to become history

History that may not repeat

Buried deeply in their reminiscence
