A sip of reality

Dakota

as much as we try to detach from our emotions

We are brought back by actions Or just a series of commotion.

We grow a move on from our homes and people you know and we meet others.

trying to carry on in our new struggles we can’t forget where we come from our hurt mothers.

just cause our lives carry on does not mean theirs stop.

Other people exists Incase you forgot.

trapped in our problems we create our own world our own little bubble.

then tragedy hits and fear resurrects itself and we find the people we care for are in trouble.

How can we handle this some brave some scared and some go to the bar and ask for a double.

Drinking pain away until they can’t walk they get up from their seats then they trip and stumble.

Focused on your own pain your wide eyes turn your vision into a tunnel.

Tunnel turns to a downward spiral all you think about is you! while the people you care for fight for survival!

We pray to our gods praying for their arrival.

you wake up the next day and get tragic news and now you are in denial.

how could ever be worth anything if all you cared for was yourself.

As people suffer please continue to bitch about your mental health.

we all got issues and we all get blue

fear comes back when we least expect it to.

no matter how bad you have it some one has it worse than you.

Fear looked me in my eyes before but never like this....

    OK good message.
But too long.... "less is more" try to say it in less words.... alternatively...consider covering less ground in each of several pieces/poems. It will get you more readers

Please don't misunderstand my words... i'm not disrespecting your work... no, i'm trying to offer you constructive help... it's easy to see you have a lot to say - but you can't say it ALL in one hit sir!
