Within the depths of all I fear,
a voice holds me at bay
And clears a path, my soul to roam,
to stumble on its way
The darkness lures, a light unshone,
new words to keep me strong
As legend steals what fact denies
—beyond all right or wrong
(Villanova Pennsylvania: August, 2019)
The Wind To Know
Lost in the miles, lost in the smiles,
the road calls out my name
Throttle in hand, a beckoning land,
no two days then the same
Direction unmapped, my nose to attack,
what’s never been before
Fate rides ahead, making my bed
—the wind to know for sure
(Limon Colorado: August, 2019)
The Edge Of Tomorrow
A Poet sits on the edge of tomorrow,
waiting for today
Notebook in hand, new words to command
—what time has yet to say
(Villanova Pennsylvania: August, 2019)
Through Tears
She wiped the tears
from the eyes of tomorrow
Her present uncovered
—her vision refound
(Superior Wisconsin: August, 2019)
Coming Back
In the middle of nowhere…
the center of it all
Coming back to my beginning
—one choice to recall
(Fargo North Dakota: August, 2019)
A Cowboy Never...
A Cowboy never says goodbye,
it’s not in his nature
A Cowboy never says goodbye,
the prairie his teacher
A Cowboy never says goodbye,
the wind his closest friend
A Cowboy never says goodbye
—his heart to only lend
(Hays City Kansas: August, 2019)

Kurt,
My first read of the day after my hospital visit! Having a good Cry was my first choice, but I decided to ditch it and read some poetry instead!
Exceptional poems you have penned for your readers to graze upon to satisfy their hunger pang for amazing reads!
• “Through Tears” is the poem that grabbed my attention first! It is relatable on so many levels!
~Laura~
Glad they brightened your day, thanks!
Kurt
They always do!
At least they’re one constant I can depend upon! So the thanks go to YOU!
• “Coming Back”
‘Coming back to my beginning
—one choice to recall’
Your trip must’ve been so exhilarating!
