Singing to the Moon

Tom Wood

Strange things happen

When you sing to the moon

I can't write in pen

My mistakes must be erased soon

The moon loves my lullaby

He yawns, the winds blow and fall

Darling, I can't accept goodbye!

Can I escape from it all?!

Ride the clouds, swim the sky

Hop the stars, navigate the night

But, please, don't say goodbye

Then, morning's first light

The moon is gone, the sun takes all

Down I fall, oh down I fall

There's wind in the air, I hear the moon call

Saying "Down I fall, oh down I fall"

  • Comment from author about the poem: This one... This one was straight from my heart when I wrote it. Sometimes, I just need a way to vent all my feelings, and it can come out in some rather bizarre and beautiful ways. Enter "Singing to the Moon"

Hold on, that big ole moon is still there patiently coming your way again.
