Alex Arnot

Toxic

Its

Twisted

Smile

Says you’ll

Never

Know the touch of joy again

Crawling

Ever

Closer

To you

Perversion waiting to begin

It gently wraps its arms around you

Then squeezes as you gasp for air.

Longing for days of peace floods through

As ill intent possesses its stare.

Fighting its advances as you cry

Promising, soon you’ll know true bliss

A binding contract, built on lies

Sealed with an unwanted kiss.

Lying with your head held in your hands

As this toxic shadow gropes your flesh

The visions of joy do turn to sand

It feasts upon your sorrow fresh.

A night of agonizing violation cease

A vision of horror as the black mist fades.

Your tears and whimpers give it release

And reflect your own distorted face.

ITS

TWISTED

SMILE

SAYS YOU’LL

NEVER

KNOW THE TOUCH OF JOY AGAIN

CRAWLING

EVER

CLOSER

TO YOU

PERVERSION IMPRINTED ON YOUR SKIN!
