the sound of your breath

the beat of your heart

your devotion and strength

i fell in love with

the basin of your ador

the fluency of your speech

to get others I implore

i fell in love with

the way your eyes saw me

never with reckless abandonment

but with a gentle guarantee

i fell in love with

both a man and a boy

to have one but also the other

i've never known such joy

i fell in love with

a desperate, fleeting moment

one that must be tethered down

with a forbearing temperament

i fell in love with

you

Wow. this describes what love truly is- knowing the other for what they are and not judging on the basis of appearance. It's such an honest piece. Well done!
