Moana, strong -willed daughter of a Polynesian chief,
Saviour of her own tribe, strengthening their cultural heritage and self - belief.
Elsa, the 'Frozen,' brave female leader of her kingdom and its land,
Defending herself courageously when danger is at hand.
Tiana, African American entrepreneur with ambition and drive,
Surviving her experiences as a frog, complete with her Prince, powerful and alive,
Pocohontas, Native American tribewoman skilfully bringing her tribe and New world colonists together,
Adored and loved by Captain John Smith treasured in his heart forever.
Disney modern heroines,
Diverse, different and with their own mystique,
The Disney legacy embracing the modern world and changing times,
Heroines, dynamic, bold and unique.

HI FRIEND - ANGELA HERE - Its nearly midnight (Sunday) here in NEW ZEALAND but I wanted to comment on your lovely Poem - Celebrating Disney Female role-models - before I went to bed ! From MINNIE MOUSE onwards the Disney Girls have always been an inspiration to me as have the Ladies in the Bible ! Loved all the Ladies you mentioned - the skills they possessed and the success they achieved ! In my profession PHYSIOTHERAPY the skills and gifts we Ladies bring to the Job make us equally valued as the Men so we have equal pay - equal opportunities and equal chances in promotion. What we do bring is healing hands in massage - lots of TLC for our Clients - a knowledge - and understanding - of Aromatherapy - Aquatherapy & Acupuncture which are important facets of our Job. Thanks for caring & sharing I enjoyed it !
