Tenderness Ticks.

kevin browne

Tenderness ticks over broken hearts
Down on the knees without a smile
If you feel lonely look up to the stars
Forget the damage that made it vile.

With a top hat and tail make it show
Face in full view with hearts over you
And if you're still lonely make it glow
Whatever stakes make do as you do.

Suddenly moments will begin to shine
Tears of the crocodile hearts will win
And if you feel happy then that is mine
I'll give it back with thoughts of the sin.

If you can climb over the idea of wrong
Let go of the ladder as the rungs break
Open your heart with your smile in song
And to make sure you sit down by the lake.

Ice cold dreams of silence in tow
Follow the path which splits in two
For therein with your heart on show
And remember to do the thing for you.

Take back the memories you once had
Bringing together happiness for sure
To turn your life up and show it so glad
Leaving for your broken heart once more.

To tell the world you stand you can live
In orders from the commander in bloom
Take a little if you must but remember to give
More love than you can imagine comes soon.

Shine, my dears, there's more to come
Sail over oceans to a paradise that's lost
Givers and takers will end up with none
And the beauty of life comes at a cost.

Life in full view will help the tide
Rivers will run on wherever they go
Take a deep breath and glide the slide
To be certain that your worlds on show.

Your first verse is so strong it deserves a page alone. It contains so much Kevin.

I never find you an easy read. I'd much rather read you than the twee twaddle easy stuff though. You tax my imagination everytime and for that alone i thank you. I respect your work, your unique approach.

Today i read a theme of forgiveness learned from love of life itself.

My oh my, you bring a teardrop to my eye. What a wonderful comment you've made. I am difficult a lot of the times to read and I also find it difficult in reading myself, also. I try to write poetry with mixed emotions and the things in life that are all things created on planet Earth. I also try to understand why you think I'm unique. I am humbled deeply by the fact you do, But I dare yet to even pretend to be a poet. We have tough competition to contend with, Shakespeare, Homer, Dante, Cohen, Kipling and I've studied them well. I know how good they are and really I'm just learning what writing brilliant poetry is all about and to know how to put it all together. Life is chaos and chaos is life, a bit like my poetry.
