No tears

Jeffrey Roy

I'll never shed a tear when your gone,

Cause you and I never was a father and son.

You were an alcoholic and  could clearly see,

All the harm and pain that it caused me.

Sitting on the sofa as I recall Shotgun in your hand threatening us all,

It just always seemed so messed up.

I just remember all the times when things were wrong,

I felt so afraid and all alone.

I have alot of resentment in life caused by you,

So horrible to come from a parent but it's true.

I'm still very bitter after years cant you see,

All the pain and harm that has that has caused me,

So with this poem I'll say goodbye.

Hoping that  someday I'll forget thee.
