I believe

sylviasearcher

Born a believer
Becoming a deceiver
Love lost left
Like perpetrator I crept

Visions of daisy chains keep stirring me still
Trying to entice me back to free will
A blanket of your words upon which to lay my tired soul
Believing in relieving, love brings Spring to empty whole

Born a believer
Becoming a deceiver
Love lost bereft
Like perpetrator I left

A ringing and singing buzzes ever after
It tells me this ending is just a new chapter
The hatred and unrest that fills me with dread
Is just the propaganda of the broken filling my head

Dying like a believer
Fighting the deceiver
Love lies. Theft
Lost as I left

A eulogy delivers me far away from home
Into a dreamy landscape my heart has always known
Isn’t it a shame, that I’m already dead?
From the bruises of the stones that they cast upon my head

Lift me like a believer
Far from the deceiver
Love long last
Though my body has now passed

I dont know whether you are old enough to remember The Young Ones with Rick Mayall, Nigel Planer et al... but this poem would certainly .. according to Neil (Nigel Plane) something of a heavy concept..... N

      Like heavy lettuce?

Of course I know of The Young Ones, but not because I’m old enough
