it has been 7 months

and still

Mommy and Daddy have not forgotten you

and still Mommy and Daddy love you

and still Mommy and Daddy hold you close to their hearts

talk about you

think about you

everyday

Daddy has a necklace with your name on it

that he wears for good luck

and Mommy put your pregnancy tests in a box

she takes them out and holds them sometimes

remembering what your heart looked like on the screen

it wasn't strong but it was there

it was real

it was beating

how we wish it could have kept beating

your due date is in 13 days

and Mommys heart is breaking all over again

She prays to God he will hold you

and love you the way she does

until she can herself

your little sister

is growing strong

her heart like a drum

beating for you both

She will know your name

she will know about the angel that watches over her

Mommy and Daddy will never forget you

WIll always remember the joy of two pink lines

will always remember the first ultrasound

will always remember the love we felt

that we still feel

will always feel

we never got to hold you in our arms

but we will  hold you in our hearts

forever and always we love you
