Before this light
I was going to write something dark
something scary that you all would never let me come back from.
I was going to write about my current life, my past life and then some.
Something stopped me, mid track, as I was carefully re reading the dark twists of a unjust life, what I wrote.
What I was writing about was not in my control, a river in which I had no way to physically nor mentally float.
I stopped to realize, mid day dream I came across something vivid, a conclusion,
Writing about a past problem out of my control will never be the solution.
I have lost the ones I relied on for self love, but love was not the big picture
I lost some people who did not love me enough, and for that I wished I would have realized quicker.
So as I sit, alone in my room wondering why I lay, lonely thoughts with nobody
The answer is bright and makes my heart light of the question I'd always plea.
Don't let happiness come to you
Find it in your darkest times
Life has your back, but so should you
Even if you're not optimistic
Life may give you lemons, rotten sour and all
But screw a lemon, find an orchard and pick your apple, the freshest apples are before the fall.
