Rain of Forgiveness

Nafis Light

When it rains...time stops
for us to step into it;
The rain then continues
and in every hitting raindrops,
Little dark scars within are purified
and painful past memories are healed;
Within the hitting drops,
We hold ourselves;
Seeing flashes of the past and present
Droplets of Forgiveness...Unforgiveness Pops.

    J44,

    Imagine to think of ‘hitting raindrops’ as purifying the ‘Little dark scars’...

    These two quotable lines are exceptional!

    ‘Little dark scars within are purified
    and painful past memories are healed;’...

    A brilliant write!

    Thank you for sharing!

    I read the refreshing renewal rain can bring to our spirit. That dash from shelter to shelter in inappropriate clothes. Envigorating. Changes us a little somehow.

    Natures tiny baptism on repeat perhaps?

      Possibly so.

      It's been like two days I didn't post something here, and I did try to look for inspiration but couldn't. Just luckily I could make that poem.

      A fine write J44.

      Raindrops invigorate if we stay and let them hit us a while - stress seems to fade under the splash of water... a lovely read J.
