can you imagine,
a mirror,
where you see yourself,
and don't fucking hate her,
yeah... neither
never mind, i found her
the one everyone tells me to see
she's beauty
she's kindness
she's me

- Comment from author about the poem: this poem reflects my changing view of myself as i recover from body dysmorphia. its the most spectacular feeling to finally see what everyone else sees but its also a very simple feeling that is reflected in the simplicity of my writing.

ANGELA HERE ! Welcome to MPS - Thanks for your first POEM ! Im in New Zealand on a (15 month) Work Exchange til October 2019 when I will return to Essex UK - Its 9:30pm here so just relaxing after work (PHYSIOTHERAPIST !). Body Dysmorphia is common among Teen Girls and they dont like what they think they see in the Mirror. My job is concerend with Healing *Broken Bodies* with exercise & massage and *self belief* so that they can get active & mobile again. Many of my Clients hate their bodies after an accident (especially limb loss) so I can empathise with the concept & effect of BODY DYSMORPHIA !
My own MANTRA and that which I give to my CLIENTS is : Love and respect yourself - just how you are - That will enable you to LOVE OTHERS and for OTHERS to LOVE YOU - Be HAPPY in the skin you*re in ! As you know the MALE KIWIS & MOARIS (with their amazing tattoos) are very very proud of their appearance & physique - I am aware of this and seek not only to restore their appearance & mobility - but also their SELF ESTEEM ! Loved the positivity in your very optimistic POEM !
Blessings & Peace & Joy
