Letting Go.

kevin browne

Letting go is harder from the things you've got
Making things easy from reaching mountain tops
When things never change, taste the test of time
As if you never loved yourself you can have mine.

Forgetting is harder to keep your love alive
Stop being painful when you hurt deep inside
Holding on those hearts, hold on really strong
If you use Niagra Falls then maybe I'm wrong.

And when life has done, done the things you do
Reaching out is pointless when it was done for you
Now deeper than ever before, the ocean it swells
Martini on the rocks and sounds of wedding bells.

Double six you hit the top on top of all you do
And the sound of weddings maybe then it's true
Seeing dazzled stars in your eyes, open up and see
Holding on forever together and for you and for me.

It's too difficult to look back and feel
It's too dangerous to look and fall in love
It's too difficult in letting go of your tears
It's too strange to get down and kneel.

It's towards a heart in Heaven high above
It's too late for the ringing in your ears
It's too caring to show how we feel pain
It's too scary for us so we can all love.

It's too to easy to fall in love again and again
It's too old with the passing of these times
It's too cold inside where the heart glows
It's too late for anyone to take the blame.

It's a long learning journey isn't it. But wisdom doesn't crush desire, nor need or yearning. Wisdom doesn't stop us seeing others paired and content.

Wisdom, self knowledge and love stops us becoming bitter. Never a hint of bitterness in your writing.

It's all there today, poured out from your soul.

God bless you, dusk and how perfect are your words here. Yes, I did try to pour my heart out from my soul leaving an imprint on yours. You teach in retrospect from any poem and you always are one to warm the world up. Now that's not too bad after all is it. Respect to you, my friend.....
