The Lies

A sober mind

Is no more fine

With pain it may internalize

I'll delve in mine

To spell the rhymes

That say what I can't verbalize

My words escape

I burn with hate

For unsure fate of hers and mine

A heart that aches

And starts to break

Was pure before it heard the lies

Those poison lines

That toy with minds

That toil for some reasons, rhymes

Destroy inside

A joy we'd find

Before our foil faced it's fines

Defaced our mines

Where diamonds shined

Encased, eyelidded, blinded eyes

Have bid their 'byes

And hid behind

Their prison gates the lies designed
