L ooking back in TIME - the analogy
I see more clearly ! My LIFE is just like that
F alling Water ! My LIFE can be obstructed
E asily slowed by obstacles - diversions
S luggish - unattractive - no song - no flow !
W ATERFALLS - have a life all of their own
A nd so did I - I was over SEVENTEEN
T houghtful & Intelligent - I could cope
E very *Season* brought a fresh challenge ! A
R iver ebbs & flows - which affects the .......
F all ! Frozen in Winter - was I ? Vibrant in .......
A utumn - coping with cascading leaves - not
L etting them clog my POOL - I HATE CLUTTER

When I was SEVENTEEN I attended a Boarding School in the
English Lake District. I loved the LODOR FALLS near Keswick
and studied it throughout the Seasons. I realised how much My
was Life was like a WATERFALL and wrote this poem for the
School Magazine in 2005 ! Brian asked me to contribute it

Yep, me life is like a waterfall, in that Fido drowns anything 'ardourous' (is that a word?) or 'swoonerous' (and is that a word?)!
Or rather, he chucks buckets of cold water on me, if I get a bit 'hot'.
Do shut up sometimes, Fido! lol. I shall never leave this sheltered life with you around. heehee.
ANGELA HERE ! Pleased you got the metaphor and applied it to your own LIFE ! Brian & I have friends who are controlled by their DOG(S) ! FIDO is morphing into a SHREW (Scheming Wife) ! Does the RSPCA allow one to divorce ones DOG ?

I liked this poem the first time you showed it to me ~ the analagy is very apt to my life also. When Andrew Motion (UK Poet Laureate) wrote his Wedding Tribute for Charles & Camilla he likened their relationship to a *Blocked up Stream* which was now freeing itself to flow freely. Another apt analogy !
