Impaled Again (+3)

Kurt Philip Behm

A sword slices through empty space,

the air bleeding as sutures trace

To pierce not once but pierce again,

your breath scarlet, its stain portends

A breeze sharpens—all time erupts,

seasons hemorrhage and flow corrupt

The wind incited—torn by pain,

truth the loser, impaled again

Incarceratus

Letting his past

 determine his future

Old voices in charge

—all memory in pain

To Paul & John

Popular music,

and popular verse

Their power intrinsic,

listeners search

Beyond even Mozart

and Longfellow’s rhyme

A gift to the masses

—in presents of time

Visceralis Veritas

Can you see that it’s true,

but not prove what you know

A problem physicists

and philosophers share

Hints all around,

results to confound

As the questions unanswered

—ensnare

    Kurt,

    • “To John & Paul”
A special poem for two special musicians! I’ve been fortunate enough to see a live performance by Paul...a magical experience! Unfortunately, never saw John performing live! Imagine if I had!!!
