Past Must Part

JWKP98

My past tries to haunt me with a guilt that is no stranger to me

But my feet are planted firm, I no longer am on my knee

Behold, the Name of the Lord, enemy;

Before Him, you must flee!

Guilt, shame, anger, tears, in His Name, be no more!

Behold the God Almighty who fights my war!

With my past, be washed away by divine blood

That separates you from me in this flood!

Endless forgiveness, mercy, grace,

I will no longer show my past on my face

I have His Name on my heart

Because He and I never will, from me the past must part!
