Smart Phones, Lost People

asrealastheycome

I swipe through the feeds
And page after page, I always see the need
That people plead and beg for validation
So much energy wasted on an application
Pause the accusation, I know I’m very much a culprit
But there’s a clear severe level I’ll never indulge in
For example, the game I sample, but don’t handle it like a drug
I do it for fun, for some, it’s their basis if they are loved
Stunned from the jump if nobody reacts to their post
If and when they do they take the praise and emoji two beers like it’s a toast
Like, they could be on separate coasts
still they gon talk like they couldn’t be more close
But when you put em face to face they strangers at the most
In a way the play it off like they seen a ghost
This virtual world got us scared of human approach
Just some thoughts from my mind as I burn this joint till it’s a roach

    Great work. Sadly, very true.
