What If

Jane Frye

What if I saw through your eyes,
could you and I then compromise.

What if I understood your point of view;
would I continue to separate me
from you.

What if I felt your pain;
could I still leave you standing in
the pouring rain.

What if I didn't judge;
would you have any reasons to hold
a grudge.

What if I bleed when you bleed;
could I still justify my greed.

What if you and I tried to make this world a better place;
would our efforts bring peace to the
human race.
