Downtown Chicago

Whit Howland

Charcoaled bars

crisscross double-cross

                                              flimflam deceive

lost slippery streets

                                                                  Red yellow green

f         loats drifts

grifts

must be a little windy today

                                                                                            lines zig

                                                                      lines zag

lines refract

something blocking the road

to decypher

to solve

to crack

one must

go abstract

then reel themselves in

be concrete
