A LORDS PRAYER IN MAORI ๐Ÿงก ANGELA & BRIAN ๐Ÿ’™ TRANSLATION

ANGELA & BRIAN

THE ORIGINAL MAORI WORDS ARE SHOWN & SUNG IN THE VIDEO !

OUR FATHER - In the Kingdoms of Heaven

How Excellent & Holy is your Name

Bring to us the Power of your CHRIST

Let it happen in the way it is to YOU

And let it happen - here on EARTH

In the same way as it is in the Kingdoms of Heaven !

Give us NOW

The FOOD we need this DAY

Wash us from our Iniquities & Cleanse us from our Sin

So that when we are delivered - by your SPIRIT

We will be with YOU again

WE will NOT enter into Temptation

Made complete - We will turn away from Sin & Iniquity

In the Name of Your Christ - is

The Power & The Glory

For Ever & Ever - AMEN !

Thanks for visiting - comments welcome - Love A & B ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿงก

A fine write A&B. I'm not against 'modern' or translations, but some versions grate, and sound nothing like the original. Not that it applies here!

Thanks UNCLE STEVE ! That is true in our Chruch (Evangelical) in the UK we mostly us the AV version - because it is Elizabethan English and flows off the Tongue ! Modern versions are meant for CLARITY (what are TRESPASSES ?) not for recitation - OK - Pleased you enjoyed our PRESENTATION ! Please check our NEW FUSION *What is your favourite Day of the Week ?* Its 7pm here in NZ so Sunday is almost over ! BRAIN enjoyed his Sunday Lunch of NZ Lamb with his Cousin Lawrence who is a VET !

Blessings & Joy to You & Beaiutiful Beagle

Erm, trespassing is going on private land, where it says 'Trespasses will be prosecuted'. Why they always prosecute Bill Stickers -what's he done? An old joke there!

        Cool Cool Cool Fascinating.

I did memorize The Lords Prayer before.
I'm not in the associated religion,
but what caught my attention is the word 'Maori'.

I have an interest in languages.

GOOD MORNING J44 ! Angela here. MAORI is dafficult language to learn but as it is pronounced phonetically I am able to sing with the Maori Choir and beiing half Spanish with Dark hair I dont look out of place ! Pleased you enjoyed the Presentation ! Brian & I love languages ! We are both Fluent in Spanish and get by in the other Latin Derived European languages like French Italian & Portuguese. German has many words similar to English (Mutter Vater Bruder Schwester etc) so the VOCABULARY is easy but the Grammer is more difficult ! In our latest Fusion I have introduced the DAYS of the WEEK in Maori - Please check !

Blessings & peace to YOU & YOURS

One wonders whether Maori society has improved or benefitted from the arrival of christianity. Wikipedea states the influence is similar to that in Europe. Nothing to write home about as the saying goes.

Keep us updated with whats going on in the A&B world.... tongues are hanging out you know..... lol

ANGELA HERE - Thanks for your comment *DA*. Over the past 15 months I have met many MAORI who are committed Christians. Despite the HAKA they are a very Gentle Race and make excellent NURSES and Care Workers ! They have a high morality and the majority find the ethical & mystical aspects of Christianity very easy to accept ! It has made integration with the Immigrants (Europeans etc) much smoother. All MAORI believe in a Spiritual Dimension and an after life which are key Doctrines of Orthodox Christianity.
Will post regular A & B Bulletins ! We are in Auckland until Thursday (I have completed My Work Placement) and we leave for the UK via Hawaii arriving in the UK on Monday. Brian is back @ Work on Tuesday (22.10. 19) I start my NEW CONTRACT at the Hospital on Monday (4. 11. 19) I need to aclimatise and come back down (or should that be UP ?) to the Northern Hemisphere ! I will jump from SPRING to AUTUMN - somewhere Ive lost a WHOLE SUMMER ! Hope that helps !

            Blessings to YOU & YOURS
            Yours Angela ๐Ÿงก ๐Ÿงก ๐Ÿงก
