She blew a death-kiss; I smothered it,
my heart is armored; yet bears gashes and wounds,
the roofless disheveled dwellings of a hopeless romantic,
with a clenched fist I weather lust's thrashings,
vortexed by haphazard sweet-nothings,
she planted a poisonous seed; I took the candid apple,
another sullied love,
*The sound of indistinct hissing
the serpheant people in robes slyly approached and waited for me to bite,
I swallowed it whole; she chuckled joyously.
she said " you love me for my well endowed hips, my fruitful bosom and my blossom red promiscous lips; come here give me a kiss ."
I kissed her on the cheek
I said " this isn't the 1st time I've succumbed to primordial temptation, I was born into sin, I'm immune to lethal injection, I love your attributes but my love streams deep beyond whats reflected on the surface...I'm numb....I feel nothing."
Without a word she swayed away and dispersed with the rest towards the hollow metropolis.
I stand firm, sturdy and unscathed.....yet again... with a hearty tight clenched fist
Love always remains.
