๐Ÿƒ Autumn has come

Chris Yellow

That
quiet
whistle...                before the tempest,
a strand of hair lifted with stormy sent
advertising how time certainly went
without a signal or formal request.

You recognize the Summer has nightfall
leaving fertile the ground for renewal,
where the spring seeded wild flowers were plucked
and first bronze tan burned leaves gently glided.

Soon our feet will crack the crispy mantle,
lemon, carrot, cerise and chocolate,
colored sounds of the past paving our path
sedimented under frequent sun bath.

Then, freezing cotton will carpet this earth,
we'll warm hands around hot beverages
from the plants we sprouted throughout these years,
covered in adventure collected cloths.

But I'll mention Winter when I get there,
for now I need to garden...

HI CHRIS ~ thanks for an awesome lyric poem on the FALL ! Because it is so kaleidescopic AUTUMN is the most musiest Season of ALL ! SPRING = light Green ~ SUMMER = dark Green ~ WINTER = White ! In AUTUMN a miracle happens ! The leaves turn from Green to a Rainbow R O Y G B I V (if you look hard enough) and then slowly flutter down like Flutterbyes and carpet the dark brown ground rainbowwise ! Its not just the colours its the shapes as well BOOTIFUL ! WE both love swishing through the WOODS behaind BRIANS Flat ! If you've never been to see the *Aspens in the Fall* @ Colorado Springs USA ~ you havent lived !

    Blessings Peace & Joy

Thank you Angela & Biran. I am not sure how the Fall is in the states, only ever been there on the Summer, but I can tell you the colorful carpeting is recurring in many other places of the planet. ๐Ÿ™‚ The thing is, this fall I don't only see it around in the trees or the coloring of the ground.,For the first time I feel it. I see it in the mirror, on the whites of my hair and the lowering of my cheeks and the fact that my children are growing like weed. I think that is what brought along this poem and the reason it is colorful is that I am finding peace and comfort with this new phase of my life. I have loved all previous seasons for different reasons.

Thanks CHRIS for the anthropomorphic analogy ! Yes as we grow older WE dso begin to change colour & shape etc ! Brian is 36 ~ He exercises a lot and keeps trim but there are a few steaks of silver in his hair ! Were getting married next year 2020 and hope for at least TWO KIDS ! Im only 31 so ive just passed from Spring to Summer and I am an ESSEX GIRL (see tomorrows Poem ESSEX IN THE FALL !) so I know how to groom myself !

      Yours ANGELA & BRIAN ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿงก
