I don't know ego but I know me

Poetic Dan

They showed me what life is worth living for, if you have nothing to die for, you never really lived at all.

From that first wrap round my finger, to the eyes to sensitive for light.

I felt within myself, a notion I'll never hide, I'm going to be the best me and they'll know this truth I have in my heart.

Little did I know, I'd move way out of mine. In the beauty of seeing an innocent unconditioned free mind, not that I knew at the time but it would finish unlocking mine.

The reflection of the love I feel in this circle of life, makes me wake up every morning able to keep up my write

I used to think long ago, just one day off being me! Now I'd not swap this life for neither love nor money, being me is the greatest thing.

In the words that my beautiful daughter likes to sing, what's that sexy thing over there "it's me" if I was you! "I'd want to be me too."

All this love in my hands, is incredible!

Great poem, PD! Being a father is great. When the kids are little you are 'God', when they are teenagers you are 'nothing', and when they are grown up and have kids themselves, they realize how hard and beautiful it is to be a father.
