Crushed Ice

Bragee

Today feels like yesterday.

Heard NO so many times it would great to get a yes today.

So I search for the perfect icebreaker to put a smile on your face,

Knowing if I break it wrong your tip of the iceberg will just float away.

 Chance thrown away,

 Gone today,

 Leaving me stuck and stranded,

Banded to a bunch of jumbled up and misspelled words that I was too shy to spit out.

Just sat there staring probably scaring you to the point where you just wanted to get out.

 Or

 Send me to sit out,

 In timeout,

Like a 1st grader who couldn't play well with others.

 But,

Other than you I'm not trying to play with anyone new

 So don't think that.

Baby real men get nervous too,

And that's what nerves will do,

Take the words right out of your heart and smash them under your shoe.

 Ripping my brain in two,

Thinking of how many ways I can call you cute.

Right now I'm up to 32,

And I plan on using each one on Valentine’s Day.

 Needless to say

 I'm looking down the line,

My mother always warned me about rushing time,

But when God dropped you from heaven as my candy coated rain drop,

The splash you made when u landed created an everlasting ripple effect in my life...
