My Muse
08 - 10 (2019)
elusive self, that leaves me wandering,
my companion, 'tis deserted me so,
hollow are thoughts, devoid of coherence,
in thy absence, the mind frustrated,
all a forest of words and floating alphabets,
lacking compilation of a meaningful sentence.
if thy shall not visit me, as before,
diminished mind and thought, for sure,
then rest my quill forever, I must,
lost are excitement, thrills of creation,
partake I must, of your nectar, your elixir,
one last sip, to quench the final thirst.

- Comment from author about the poem: Creative juices have come to a screeching halt, and minds frustration, unbearable, and so I seek alls forgiveness - sincerity above all.

O dear what can the matter be ?
My MAGIC MUSE has deserted ME
No more ODES or perfect RHYMES
For me this is the WORST of TIMES !
GOOD MORNING SURESH ~ take heart it happens to all of US. One day we*re composing like KEATS and the next NOTHING ! WE compensate by having a BOOK EACH into which WE write POEMS for periods of Poetic Drought ! Also there being TWO of US on this site its seldom that we are both MUSELESS at the same time ! The seasons are always good for a POEM ! Please check ours today ~ an ACROSTIC on *AUTUMN TO WINTER* ~ OK !
BLESSING & Peace & Good MUSE
Yours ANGELA & BRIAN
