BEETHOVEN ~ YOU ask me where I get my ideas for My Music from ?
I cannot tell you with certainty ~ BUT they come unsummoned directly
and indirectly ~ Out of the Woods on a Moonlit Night ~ Or in the
Morning ~ incited by My Moods and translated into HARMONY ! Such
experiences would be translated by a POET into words ~ POETRY !
WE are often asked on MPS ~ What generates POEMS ?
POEMS ~ according to BEETHOVEN ~ comparing MUSIC to POETRY
POETRY is a versification of IDEAS .................
IDEAS gleaned from ones own EXPERIENCES !
EXPERIENCES ~ Like walking @ Midnight ~ through WOODS !
WOODS @ MIDNIGHT ? To me that has more than a hint of DANGER !
DANGER for a Lady all alone ? Id be safe with MY BIG BEAR ~ BRIAN !
BRIAN ~ Is a Night Owl ~ Hed BOLDLY GO ~ into the Woods @ NIGHTS !
NIGHTS are Spooky ! You see and hear THINGS
THINGS that are not really THERE !
THERE must be an explanation ~ Is it all really in the MIND ?
MIND that translates MOON SHADOWS into an actual MOONSTERS !
MOONSTERS ready to leap out ~ and swallow YOU !
YOU grip Brians hand tighter ! Safe & Happy together are WE !

BEETHOVENS MOONLIGHT SONATA is one of the most POPULAR
Classical Pieces on BBC Classic FM ! In the First Movement the notes
for the left hand are a series of CHORDS (see video) and it is very simple !
It was the first CLASSICAL PIECE I (ANGELA) ever learned when I was
about SEVEN ! It has been my Party Piece ever since ! It is so so
melancholy & soporific ! BRIAN loves it too because he used to lie in bed
listening to his DAD playing it in the Music Room below ! If CLASSICAL
MUSIC ~ be the Food of Love ~ then PLEASE PLAY ON & ON & ON !

I just read the poem and sort of entertained.

THANKS for your encouragement FB ! Yes I play Guitar and Angela Piano and we are both in CHOIRS. We are both CLASSICAL POETS so most of our ditties tend to both RHYME & SCAN and are very singable ! We are performance Poets and tend to sing our ditties to well known tunes instead of composing new tunes ! BUT we will give it some thought. We tend to sing in FOLK or COUNTRY style so there are plenty known tunes available ! Watch this space ! Pleased you enjoyed the presentation !
