Birth Pains

MissUnderstood

What is my message?

What do I stand for?

They say if you stand for nothing,

You’ll fall for everything,

And yet I stand tall and fall into oblivion.

Lies that it’s me,

Lies that it’s her,

But I think it’s skin,

Keep it bright or lose the fight?

You don’t want me,

You don’t know me,

You don’t own me,

And yet....

Your rejection pains more than the birth pains of identity discovery,

I haven’t found mine yet but the world has.
