Peace after dreams

wolf10

I watched the water ripple across the bay with peace in my heart,

After dreams upon dreams..

Of cold dead eyes dancing in a breeze.

Existing only in the windows of my mind never to be seen,

Wailing a song heard miles from the state of in between.

Forcing it's way to the sounds of reality,

No longer bound to the hallucinations of a just dream,

Expelling its anger in the face of a common theme.

Heard for months in the background of silence screams,

Wishing the band aid to heal the cut at the seams.

Remove the sticky and bleed the pain haunting the bloodstream,

Just to be free from the echoing dreams,

Written in form from a soul who knows no voice to beam.

In the eyes of a text capturing its ghost and releasing me from its hex. -wolf10
