Her

"You can have all of me" she said,

"You'll come crawling back again"

Into the deep I'll jump and drown

never recollecting how to swim.

Teach me how to take a breath,

pushing my stomach in.

Sit me up as straight as you can,

I'm numb to this life I live.

Now I'm lost, but once was found

the little devil made did me in

Turned my whole world upside down,

my soul she's got a grip.

Wrapped around me,  her wicked fingers

tight as a tourniquet.

Not a feeling or care in the world

No hope for forgiveness.

Crossed her heart and hoped to die

scored her bag of tricks.

Her absence left me feeling empty

yellow bile and sickness.

Twisted thoughts and wasted life,

mind and legs restless.

"You were able to have all of me" she said

"Now you need another fix"
