Because our Poetry is a bit PREDICTABLE ~ *OUTBACK* gave
us a CHALLENGE ! To post *HORSE LATITUDE* by the Doors
as our VIDEO and interpret it and post a POEM (from our own}
Experience) based on it ! The video explains the literal meaning of
*HORSE LATITUDE* and why it was necessary for the Spanish
Sailors to jettison their valuable HORSES they were shipping to
The West Indies. Each Horse required 4 gallons of fresh water
per day to live. At a personal level the lyricist JIM MORRISON
(1943 - 1971) felt that His Poetry & Music & Friends etc had
to be jettisoned to lift HIM out of His Doldrums. He was the
Lead Singer of the DOORS (1965 - 71). JIM was found DEAD
in his bath in PARIS 3 July 1971 ~ He was 27. The Death
Certificate ~ saidHeart Failure ~ There was no autopsy.
JIM is regarded as one of the most iconic and influential
FRONTMEN in Rock History ! Rated 47th in Rolling Stones
list of *100 Greatest Singers of all Time* & 22nd in Classic
Rocks Magazine *50 greatest Rock Singers*. Morrison was the
embodiment of the *Hippie Counter Culture Rebellion*. In 1993
he was inducted into the *Rock & Roll Hall of Fame* in Cleveland
OHIO as a Member of the Doors. Which I (BRIAN) have visited !
