Young & Thuggin

Bragee

Do you have what it really takes to take another man’s life?

Or do you just pull the tool

Because you think it’s cool

To wave a gun around at a fist fight

One thing you’ve got to realize

Is that whoever told you it was cool told you real lies

Accidents happen but unlike Grand theft auto, you don’t get two tries

But instead of getting wise

You choose to be young & thuggin

That’s why ya mom cries every single time yall huggin

But it don’t phase you

You just doing what you got to do

Or so you say

Feeling like you got everything to prove and nothing to lose at the end of the day

Which is why we are where we are now

You standing alone looking at the gun wondering how

Everybody running except the one teenage girl who got hit

People screaming, & the sirens coming got your head feeling like it’s about to split

Fighting in the party and you thought it’d be okay to take it to the next level

You figured they’d all take off once you flashed a little piece of metal

But they didn’t

They didn’t budge they just stood there waiting to see what you really about

You weren’t thinking, regretted it immediately but the bullet was already in route

He ducked and baby girl running to her car took it to the head

And from the way her body hit the ground you knew she was dead

Now everyone’s gone

And you're left standing all alone

To in shock to try and run

So you just stand frozen in fear until they all yelling for you to drop your gun

99 to life or basically death in jail

Another young gangster confined to a jail cell

Young and thuggin

No

More like young and dumb

  • Comment from author about the poem: Written really rough with some slang intentionally to create the real and accurate feelings involved in this sad but true story that I hate to tell. These types of things happen everyday.....

Done a few like this, can never be said enough!

    Much respect.
I thought that the games & toys made it worse but if that's all there was then would we actually have to face those demons.
