I won’t whisper to you of my vision
For it is macabre and full of shame
I won’t sink my teeth into your chest
Or bid you screech my name
I will still like a silence
I will wash away like waves
Tomorrow you might hear me weep, or roar
From a yard full of my graves
I can’t melt from heat and light
For it would leave a bloody mess
I can’t pour myself into your bones
Or for a moment, linger here or rest
I will roam like an endlessness
I will unsettle sleepy shores
Yesterday you thought you heard me
Lost voice . Forevermore

- Comment from author about the poem: Feels unfinished but whatever I tried to add seemed to diminish what had gone before. There’s a metaphor in that thought I just can’t work it out!

That chin checked my heart
I am not familiar with chin checking... Are you okay?
Yeah, I think so, the heart is such a resilient function!
That’s a relief!
sad write, loss is a hard thing to deal with, especially a lost love
Thanks Ron, I guess this is almost a loss of self...
