The Moon Is All Over You...

kevin browne

Down through city streets
Down where troubles meet
Up there in Heaven, we pray
Up there in our hearts, we stay.

For reasons a bit beneath
For teardrops on a wreath
Until a flood hasn't drowned
Until someone else is found.

For a pain who's to blame
For a pain hurts the same
Deeper than it was before
Deeper than it was offshore.

And towards a life on edge
And towards a life's pledge
Rendered over crying weeps
Rendered love crying keeps.

Shadows silenced a whisper
Shadows suddenly disappear
Beautiful bright the wish true
Beautiful strikes all over you.

Now temples rehearse over
Now churches bond together
And in this life that's missed
And in this life, we've kissed.

Those dear loves we've had
Those dear faces looking sad
Beat up and been left alone
Beat up and without a home.

Sunshine shades in its prime
Sunshine shades over time
Behind the wall never goes
Behind the wall, we don't know.

Holding onto things for love
Holding onto clouds above
Where the raindrops a tear
Where the raindrop it hears.

And if you're hurting now
And if you're pain is slow
When the wound has gone
When everything is wrong.

Upon those meadow fields
Upon those hearts, we heal
When the time caught up
When life became too much.

Feeling some worth without
Feeling some painful doubt
And the Moon turns to blue
And the Moon is all over you.

So now to leave it if you care
So now you found somewhere
Upon the stars shining bright
Upon this page to say goodnight.
