Blessed Tree

Wm. Songberan

It is þͤ blessed tree and I, Christ
as you are þͤ stars þͭ twinkles
Like a river glowing in illumination and murkiness
  Resting onto þͤ blessed bourn
Where I, Christ, sooðe myself on

With your soothing voice
  Like a glowing river's murmuring
I, Christ, can escape from many forbidding noise
 and rest where you live—

  Under þͤ blessed tree
  Resting onto þͤ blessed bourn
  Inside a sunlit shadow

Giving many stars holy blessings
Eternal happiness and joy they deserve
Ridding them of sadness and chaos they chastise
And giving them the peace they long wished for—

—From the heart of Christ

—May God bless þs man for his never dying kindness—

  • Comment from author about the poem: Inspiration comes from unlikely place... I wrote this from the perspective of a monk and shared it on the internet to enlighten people of such generous people, buried under greedy evil-doers, whose voices are louder than the generous. I also wrote this as a reflection of gratitude for many generous people, whose voice are heard of, but were ignored. Thank you very much for reading this poetry. Wm. This poem was written in a view of a Christian monk
For Christ is simply a representation of a benevolent man
And a voice of many unselfish and charitable people
Whose many voices are drowned by a small but booming voices they called, \"Greed\"

Thank you for reading the poem.
