A Demon in My View

WhatsItToYou

When my soul was heavy and blue,

There was a demon in my view.

On my should, in my ear,

Whispering, “Can you hear?”

I tried not to listen to his beautiful voice,

The beauty that he offered left me with no choice.

So with a demon in my view,

My soul turned so heavy and blue.

His voice was one I tried to refuse,

But it whispered so loudly that surely you could hear it too.

This demon in my view.

Thanks for your first Poem - love the STRUCTURE (Rhyming couplets - my fave) and the SUBJECT - DEMONS - We All have them from time to time ! In my experience I dont hear the actual DEMON - BUT - I do see the effects ! Im a PHYSIOTHERAPIST and I lot of my CLIENTS have DEMONS. I can placate them with ACUPUNCTURE also Massage with ALMOND OIL. The efect of ACUPUNCTURE & Oil Massage on peoples MINDS as well as their bodies is very interesting ! Do you like YOUR DEMON(S) or have you tried to eliminate or subdue them ?
