THOU ART THE EVERLASTING WORD ๐Ÿ’œ BRIAN & ANGELA ๐Ÿ’œ SONG FOR SUNDAY ๐Ÿ’œ

ANGELA & BRIAN

This is a SUBLIME HYMN to a PERFECT TUNE (video)

This is the one POEM / HYMN that I wish Id written !

THOU ART THE EVERLASTING WORD

The FATHERS only SON

GOD manifestly seen & heard

And HEAVENS beloved ONE !

Worthy - O Lamb of God - art Thou

That every knee to Thee  should bow !

True likeness of the INFINITE

Whose essence is concealed

Brightness of uncreated LIGHT

The HEART of GOD revealed !

Worthy - O Lamb of God - art Thou

That every knee to Thee should bow !

In Thee most perfectly expressed

The FATHERS glories shine

Of the full DEITY possessed

Eternally DIVINE !

Worthy - O Lamb of God - art Thou

That every knee to Thee should bow !

But the high mysteries of Thy Name

An ANGELS grasp trancends

The FATHER only - Gloriuos claim

The SON can comprehend !

Worthy - O Lamb of God - art Thou

That every knee to Thee should bow "

This is a sublime Hymn - by Josiah Condor - based on the

Prologue to JOHNS GOSPEL *In the beginning was the WORD

and the WORD was with GOD and the WORD was GOD* - AMEN

Yes, a fine hymn B&A. I should add it to my repertoire of hymns and tunes. Well, verses are 8.6.8.6. (Common Metre), and Chorus/Refrain in 8.8. metre.
Does one sing the last line of the Refrain once or twice each time? I'm not sure.

THANKS UNCLE STEVE ~ Brian here ~ pleased you appreciated it ! Th last ;ine of the r efrain is sung as written ~ then reapeated ~ OK When I was in the Christian Bretehern we used to sing it almost every week with Communiion. Latterly it was replaced by *SUCH LOVE* It is in ou r book in the Evangelical Church *The New Redemption Hymnal* but we only have it occasionally on a Sunday Evening ~ The BABY (Golden Oldies) is dissapearing with The Holy Water ! C'est la Vie !

Blessings & Jumping for Joy to YOU & FRISKY FIDO !
