All I Want

she_was_torture

Oh, dreamful youth,

How long do you last?

How long do you linger?

My head spins and my heart churns

every time you plant an idea.

The perfect future with the perfect man.

The immediate future with my first love.

My imagination swims, flies, and rolls.

Who will it be?

What will we do?

In a story, we'd meet, maybe be forbidden to each other.

Or we could run away,

Know each other since birth.

And when we finally come together,

Do we dance in unison under the stars?

Or do we stare into each other's eyes

and kiss until we drown.

That's all I want.

Someone to hold, love, and cherish.

Someone who will love me unconditionally and me them.

The one who knows me inside and out and

can run circles in my heart without tiring.

I want the one that can be my first and my last,

or simply just my last.

Which one is better?

I don't really care.

I'm young and, to admit it, hungry.

I crave other's love and get jealous at my fictional boyfriend for having all he ever dreamed of.

But that's all.

I just want

Him.
