Tune: Cranham
('In the bleak midwinter')
*********
Come, come you are welcome
Join our humble home
In manger lay within
Christ-child, without sin
Though no spaces at inn
We will take you in
We animals greet you
Saviour true
Pardon our stable, see
Draughty it may be
But in awe and wonder
We unto you stir
What this blessing we share
Of your loving care?
Mary, Joseph, your child
Born, meek, mild
We be your creatures all
Here now in our stall
Christ, He the world's true light
Revealed to our sight
May humans take good care
Of us, with us share
Knowing here you on earth
Had your birth
Sleep, sleep, sweet child, resting
We too worship bring
Here a bale of our hay
Your head on it lay
We look on, wondering
You the Lord and King
Salvation you do bring
Praises ring!

Good Afternoon UNCLE STEVE ~ just back from Church ~ Christmas Communion ~ AMEN. Thanks for sharing a beautiful Carol ~ beautifully sung in a perfect setting. There is always someting Mystical & Majestic about Christmas Day especially in a Church decked out for Christmas in a simple & effective way. ANDY asks us to remember the Poor & Lonely & Needy @ this Time and we DO ! Our reitiring Collection Today was for OPEN DOORS WORLDWIDE where we remember those PERSECUTED for their FAITH who have to worship in Secret when we can still *TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN - THAT JESUS CHRIST IS BORN* and post it openly on MPS.
Love your Poem ! It reminds us that GOD the FATHER chose a situation (A STABLE !) so that the first to winees the Birth of His SON - JESUS would not be HUMANS (they came later) but the Animals the trinity had created to be the true Friends of Mankind. Spoare a thought for the six million Turkeys sacrificed to grace the tables of the UK Today ! That is why I chose Beryl Cooks amazing Nativity Painting for my picture today ! A real Mother with a real chubby Baby greeting and being greated by Gods created creatures ~ AMEN ! Thanks for visiting ! God has a great sense of Humour and so should we ! Beryl Cooks painting ~ Medievil ~ IT IS NOT !
Blessings & Joy to YOU with Your SYPHON
and FDO sniffing out any excess hilarity !
Love in the SPIRIT B & A ๐๐งก๐๐งก๐๐งก๐
Thanks B&A.
The real creatures of God accepted, which most humans rejected.
Merry Christmas
Thanks Suresh.
