Pink Tinted Windows

TheImpossibleGirl🍁🤞

I spent my life looking through dirty glass
But you gave me pink tinted windows
Looking at the world with smudges and stains
Now its wiped clear, a crystalline vision.

What have you done, my loveliest friend?
I see the true horror, depths with no end
But as clear as day, over the horizon
Theres beauty and grace, a glistening diamond

Locks of hair tucked behind ears with delicate movements
Lips twitching up with simple amusment
Eyes peering up with cautious forethought
Beautiful things, small in thought

The things often unnoticed, pairs of pained eyes
They're often most important, the things that underlie
To see through clean glass means seeing the truth
Like the things that are caused, by me loving you

A fine comparison in this romantic ballad - mirrors do indeed need cleaning to see truth of love. Thanks for sharing the thought with us
