smile back draft 5

Noah Malice

Everyone feels the weight every single day

Yet everyone has a love they're waiting to show

Like the light I can see shining in your eyes

Like the hope of hello after every goodbye

Let new folks be friends whenever you first greet them

And let those friends be there whenever you need them

If you flash a smile when you see them

They'll smile back at you

Smile back, smile forth

Let it be an open door

Show your friends that you care

With a smile here and there

It's okay if you lose

Everybody gets the blues

But you can be the one to choose

To let your light shine through

So smile back, take a chance

You could make a difference

Well, that's this fine poem finished, so that's one thing completed at least! lol.

Not even! I appreciate the positivity, though.

      "The beacon of light
      flashed from his face,
      fragmenting the darkness
      she felt its embrace..."
