Drift Along

Nicholas Browning

All I want to do is float;

To be a cloud on top of a sphere.

It doesn't matter which one it is,

As long as it's there, and not here.

All I wish to do is glide,

While paying respects to a setting sun.

Enveloped in dusk's glow on twilight's tides -

So long that "now" is over, and "then" is done.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Hey guys. Bit of a short and simple one today. I feel like everyone has those days where they just wanna drift away, and this just articulates one of those days I guess. Thanks for reading and for stopping by my friends. Happy new year.
