A timeless classic.
Jo, Amy, Beth and Meg, their lives have captured our hearts throughout the years,
Their journey through childhood, adolescence and adulthood has enchanted us,
Holding us captive to their trials, tribulations, triumphs and fears.
Beautiful Meg, with hopes of marriage and a good match,
Adventurous and courageous Jo, inspired to write,
Selfish and ambitious Amy, an artist born to paint,
Beth, her gentle & kind spirit anointing all around with light.
Little Women,
Each one, special, unique and memorable in their own way,
The March sisters have struck a chord worldwide,
The Louisa May Alcott classic resonates powerfully even today.

- Comment from author about the poem: I went to see the new film version of Little Women at the cinema it was very good. However, I still have a soft spot for the Winona Ryder version (1994). The quartet of Little Women novels, Little Women. Good Wives, Jo's Boys and Little Men are a good read too.

Good write B. Yes, some modern updates can ruin the originals.
I saw Laurel & Hardy updated film. Hardy looked like, oh I dunno, Donald Trump maybe! lol.
Hello Orchidee,
Thanks.
I wanted to see Laurel and Hardy when it came out.
By all accounts it was supposed to be good.
