Nice, I know of that healing!
This short poem sums up the anguish of parting, and the reflection on it's correctness. We deal with it, all of us, differently. Some are freed quickly and some never let go. Your poetry gives us all a glimpse of what it's like to deal with the parting. Loved this one. -Phil A.
